What is Nevent AI and how does it work?

Nevent AI is a connector that lets AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT access your Nevent CRM in natural language. It works via MCP (Model Context Protocol), an open standard created by Anthropic in 2024 and adopted by OpenAI. In practice: you configure the connector once in Claude or ChatGPT, and from then on you can ask them anything about your events, campaigns, segments or attribution. It's agentic marketing — the AI doesn't just respond, it can also act (create segments, prepare campaigns) under your supervision.

Do I need to know what MCP is or have technical skills to use it?

No. The initial setup is done by your Nevent Customer Success Manager in a few minutes: we hand you the MCP URL and an access token, you paste them into Claude or ChatGPT following the instructions (copy-paste), and you're done. After that, everything happens by chatting with the AI in natural language. No code, no SQL, no new language to learn.

Is it secure? What data can the AI see?

Yes. Your data is not used to train AI models (not Anthropic, not OpenAI, not anyone). The AI accesses your CRM only when you ask something, reads what it needs to answer, and the data always stays in your Nevent tenant (EU servers). You can define granular permissions per agent: for example, give ChatGPT access only to analytics and Claude full access. All queries are logged and auditable.

Does it work with other LLMs besides Claude and ChatGPT?

Yes. Any tool that supports the Model Context Protocol can connect: Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Cursor and the new MCP clients appearing every month. MCP is an open standard designed precisely to avoid vendor lock-in to a specific LLM.

Which Nevent plans include Nevent AI?

Nevent AI is in early access for Professional and Enterprise customers. If you already have a compatible plan, contact your Customer Success Manager to activate it. If you're not yet a customer, request information and we'll confirm availability for your case.

What if the AI makes a mistake or launches something it shouldn't?

By design, any action that changes data (creating a segment, scheduling a campaign, sending an email) requires your explicit confirmation before executing. The AI prepares the action and shows you exactly what it will do; you give the final sign-off. For read-only queries there is no risk: the AI might misinterpret the question, but you can always review the answer and rephrase. It's an assistant, not an autopilot.
