Audience API

Your audience data, where your business needs it

Query segments, dimensions and analytics of your audience from your data warehouse, your BI tool or your own system. Built on top of Nevent's unified segmentation engine.

What it's for

Your audience data, out of the silo

Four use cases where programmatic access to Nevent's audience changes how you operate.

Bring your data into your warehouse

If your data team works on BigQuery, Snowflake or Redshift, you can keep an ordered copy of Nevent's audience data right there without rebuilding the segmentation logic. Your data warehouse stays as the single source for analysis, and Nevent stays as the single source for operations. Both in sync.

Activate segments on paid media

Your "attendees who bought in two or more editions and spend over €80" segment doesn't have to stay inside Nevent. Take it automatically to Meta Ads, Google Ads or TikTok as a source audience for your campaigns. The sync is continuous: when someone enters or leaves the segment, it also changes on the ad platform.

Feed your BI dashboards

If you use Looker, Tableau, Metabase or any visualization tool, connect Nevent's audience and analytics data directly. Your business dashboards include what happens in the CRM with no manual steps: pull, mix with other sources, visualize.

Build custom analytics

For large promoters with concrete analytical questions that don't fit a standard dashboard, the Audience API lets you write custom queries over the full schema. Your data team does its job instead of copying Excel exports to another Excel.

What's included

Two blocks: segmentation and analytics

The Audience API is organized in two clear parts. Segmentation to activate audiences, analytics to understand them.

When the Audience API makes a difference

A small operation lives fine inside the Nevent admin. A large operation, with multiple systems, multiple teams and questions that don't fit a standard dashboard, needs to be able to read data from the outside. The Audience API exists so your data keeps working for you even when your data world is bigger than a single product.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How is the Audience API different from the Connect API?

They're APIs going in opposite directions. The Connect API is for ingestion: ticketing platforms, cashless systems or ecommerce send data toward Nevent. The Audience API is for reading: you pull audience data out of Nevent into your data warehouse, BI tool or paid media platform. One pushes data in, the other pulls it out. For a large promoter it's common to have both running at the same time: Connect feeds operational data in, Audience extracts it already enriched for analysis and activation.

What kind of teams usually use it?

Data, BI or technical marketing teams. If your promoter has its own data warehouse (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift) and wants Nevent's audience data to live there too, the Audience API is the piece that makes it possible without rebuilding the segmentation logic. It's also used by marketing teams activating audiences on paid media platforms (Meta, Google, TikTok) who need to sync segments automatically.

What kind of queries can I make?

The same ones you would make from the Nevent admin, but programmatically and at scale. Lists of available segmentation criteria, queryable dimensions (unique values, distributions), segment previews (how many people meet a condition without executing yet) and full segment executions. On the analytics side: filters, queries over the full schema and schema exploration.

Is the data real-time or does it have delay?

Segmentation data is synced with Nevent's operations and updates according to the platform's cadence. Analytics queries can have small normal latencies typical of data warehouse systems. For use cases needing strict real-time (e.g. react in seconds to a purchase) we recommend combining the Audience API with Connect API webhooks.

How does authentication work?

Bearer token with scope-based permissions. Token generation, scope and renewal are documented in the API portal. Segments are only accessible to tenants allowed in your token, so it's safe to share tokens across internal systems as long as you stay within your organization's limits.

Does it replace Nevent's database or complement it?

It complements it. Nevent stays as the place where operations live: that's where the campaign launches, the ticket sells, the event runs. The Audience API lets you carry an organized copy of audience data wherever you decide for analytics or activation purposes, without touching the operational side. Designed to integrate Nevent into your data ecosystem, not to replace it.
